About Course

Linux is a free and open-source operating system that is widely used in computer hardware and software, game development, tablet PCs, mainframes, and other applications. Unix is an operating system that is widely used in internet servers, workstations, and PCs manufactured by Solaris, Intel, and HP, among others.

There are hundreds of distinct Linux distributions. UNIX has variants (Linux is a UNIX variant based on Minix, which is a UNIX variant), although the number of legitimate UNIX versions is far smaller.
